This pedestrian footbridge provides access across the River Weaver in Northwich. It is 2.9m in width, has a span of 34m and weighs 20 Tonnes. The structure was transported via road from Wrexham to Northwich with a police escort, then lifted from the side of the road using a 200 Tonne Crane onto a specially designed turntable fixed across 2 No 180 Tonne Hoppers. The structure was then taken to its required location down the River Weaver where it was slewed through 90 degrees, jacked up off the turntable and lowered onto its bearings.
